[No Foul / VAR Intervention] An on-field review of contact between a goalkeeper and an attacking player, with no offence given

Two questions were at the centre of this incident: whether the attacking player touched the ball first, and whether the goalkeeper's contact amounted to a foul, and therefore a penalty kick. The footage shows the attacking player playing the ball first and then coming into contact with the goalkeeper, who had rushed out. Following the on-field review, the referee's final judgement was that the contact fell within a fair challenge and was neither careless nor reckless, and so no offence was given.
