How the footage and Laws apply

There are three things to look at in this scene. The first is the referee's running. It was an excellent counter-attack by Hiroshima, and the referee kept up with it well. That was an excellent aspect of the scene. The second is the advantage. No. 10 was brought down, but a player was running through at speed from behind. The referee played the advantage having taken that into account, which was an excellent decision. The third is the assistant referee's judgement of the line. On this counter-attack, the assistant referee had to keep in line with the second-last opponent in a fast-moving situation. Despite the speed, the assistant referee kept in line and, at the moment of the final cross, which was a close call, judged that the player was onside. It was a very difficult situation for the assistant referee too, and an excellent decision.
